Wyndham Pool Opens with a Splash
The Wyndham Swimming Pool Upgrade was officially opened by the Honourable Gary Gray AO MP Parliamentary Secretary for Western and Northern Australia and Barry Haase MP for the electorate of Kalgoorlie and Shire President Fred Mills on Friday 22nd January. Approximately 100 people attended the official ceremony followed by BBQ dinner and free swim.
The $1.38 million dollar project was jointly funded by the Department of Sport and Recreation, East Kimberley Development Package and Kimberley Development Commission.
The pool has been opening for two to three days per week as of the 3rd January due to system testing and staff qualification requirements. With all requirements now met, opening hours are now five days per week. Regular attendance is between 80 and 100 swimmers per day.

The Wyndham Swimming Pool has a fully shaded six lane 25 metre pool and two shaded toddlers pools.
It is situated in the centre of the town amidst a broad expanse of lawn with shaded areas making it a welcome retreat during the hotter months.
The pool facilities are available for hire for social functions.
