Stakeholder Advisory group
Community engagement is a key part of the Shire’s decision making process; the Stakeholder Advisory Group has been established to increase the flow of information between the Shire and the community, and to provide key stakeholders with an opportunity to contribute to the local decision-making process.
The group is governed by the group guidelines which clearly set out the role and purpose of the Stakeholder Advisory Group.
The experience and knowledge of the group will assist Council on important matters, such as draft council documents.
Examples of matters that could be considered by the Stakeholder Advisory Group include:
- Draft strategic planning proposals and documents;
- Draft corporate planning documents;
- Draft policies which directly affect the whole community;
- Major public works.
