Kununurra Community and school Library

The Kununurra Community and School Library is a joint use facility with the Kununurra District High School. The library aims to provide excellent and relevant library programs, resources and customer service to the students, community members and visitors of Kununurra District High School and the Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley.
Kununurra Community and School Library specialises in children's services, visiting author and illustrator events, programs that promote community harmony and resources about the Kimberley.
Kununurra Community and School Library is frequently described as the cultural hub of the town - a reputation we are proud of!


Location
The library is located on the corner of Coolibah Drive and Mangaloo Street, Kununurra and is situated on the Kununurra District School grounds.

Kununurra Community and School Library members can now download free e-Books and audio books from the State Library of Western Australia using their membership card.
Up to five items can be downloaded onto personal computers and most popular mobile devices for a period of 7, 14 or 21 days, after which time the item will "expire" and will no longer be accessible.
Visit Western Australian Public Library Digital Media Collection to access the catalogue. Click on “Getting Started” to download the software and then “My Account” to borrow. Select Kununurra Community and School Library and enter your membership number.
NOTE: Wyndham Community Library members can request a library card to enable access.

Special Events
The library hosts a number of events during the year.
The Kimberley Writers Festival is an annual event which aims to entertain and inspire the residents of, and visitors to, the East Kimberley with a variety of authors, musicians, songwriters, storytellers and illustrators who share their life stories, expertise and love of the written and spoken word.

Activities For Children And Parents
The Library offers Rhyme Time, Story Time and Bedtime Stories each week. These sessions are an opportunity for children and their parents to read books, sing songs and participate in many other activities all of which will encourage the enjoyment of books.
