The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley

Is located in a picturesque and rugged sparsely populated northeast corner of Western Australia (WA) and is one of the world's last wilderness frontiers. As a global tourism attraction it is known for luxury accommodation, great food and friendly locals, and is an amazing and very unique part of Australia.


The Position

Reporting to the Manager Community Development, this role is responsible for directly assisting the organisation to develop and implement programs, initiatives and services that promote community capacity building and strengthening, connectedness and engagement, particularly with regard to youth and indigenous engagement.


The role will focus on collaborating and building partnerships for the purpose of delivering social and community outcomes within the areas of youth, family support, childcare, aged, culture, education, disability access and inclusion and community wellbeing.


Other Requirements

The successful applicant will be required to submit a National Police Clearance (dated within 6 months) and copies of qualifications (where relevant) in order to be eligible for the position. They will also be required to undertake a pre-placement medical due to the manual handling tasks associated with the role.
