World Play Day
Past Event
The Toy Library are planning to hold a large family event on World Play Day (May 28) to bring the community together and promote the vast benefits of play for learning and development. This event will also coincide with our celebration of 40 years of service to the Kununurra community. The event will take place on the lawn at the Kununurra Agricultural Society, outside the Toy LIbrary, and will include lots of fun activities, information about the importance of play, and a wonderful opportunity for local families (new and existing) & community groups to meet and support each other. We plan to provide well considered and designed play opportunities for children aged 0-6 to stimulate imagination, fine & gross motor skills and role play. Activites will include a giant sand pit (complete with diggers/ trucks and toys), baby play area, messy play, obstacle course and climbing equipment. This wonderful outdoor event will promote genuine outdoor play & will host all attending families with a free sausage sizzle and drink as well as colourful decorations, music, bubbles, a petting zoo, strong community spirit and a great deal of fun. The event will go from 9-12.
