The Shire is pleased to announce that Wyndham Boat Ramp pontoon jetty is now open for members of the community to use. The damages to the pontoon jetty were caused primarily by the impact of weather on infrastructure which has passed its renewal date.

Last week, the Shire engaged with local contractors to undertake welding works to secure the pontoon back to the jetty structure. The repairs were funded by the Disaster Recovery Funding arrangement.

During the 27 August 2019 Ordinary Council Meeting, Council passed a resolution for the Shire to commence the design process for a new floating pontoon jetty using grant funding secured by Shire Officers from the Department of Transport.

The Shire is continuing to work on the detailed design along with sourcing funding options, in order to undertake construction.
