Travel Information for all Virgin Australia (B737) Customers Flying out of the East Kimberley Regional Airport to Perth.
Due to high passenger capacity in and out of Kununurra on these flights and congestion in the terminal, the following check-in times need to be implemented to allow ample time for airport staff to complete your check-in, security checks, baggage loading and boarding. By getting to the airport early, it will allow for on-time departures from Kununurra.
How to prepare for your flight – Here is some useful information:
- As mandated under the Emergency Management Act 2005 (WA) Section 72A, you must wear a mask when you are in the terminal and when on the Aircraft. Please remember to bring a mask to avoid refusal of entry. If you hold a medical exemption certificate, please bring this with you, as the Police may ask to sight this document
- Check-in opens at 2:20 PM on Monday, Thursday and Friday. Passengers need to arrive at the airport 80 minutes before the arrival of the Aircraft at 03:40 pm but no less than 1 hour before departure at 04:20 pm as boarding commences at 03:50 pm
- Check-in opens at 09:50 am on Saturday and Sunday. Passengers need to arrive at the airport 80 minutes prior to the arrival of the Aircraft at 12:10 pm but no less than 1 hour before departure at 12:50 pm as boarding commences at 12:20 pm
- Check-in close 30mins before each departure.
- Passengers requiring assistance need to check-in at the Virgin Priority queue along with Business class passengers and proceed to security screening 20 minutes before boarding.
