Main Roads Western Australia is set to resume progress on the Halls Creek to Kununurra Bridges Project starting mid-March 2024.

The next phase of construction will focus on completing the Tickalara Creek and Frog Hollow Creek replacement bridges, with work scheduled to recommence on 18th March 2024.

These final stages will involve the construction of approach slabs, embankment earthworks, and the installation of road safety barriers. Anticipated completion for both bridges is set for mid-June 2024.

Additionally, construction of the new bridge at Arthur Creek will commence this year, with clearing and site establishment works beginning in early April. A temporary side track will be opened to facilitate earthworks and the dismantling of the old bridge structure.

Key Dates:

  • Tickalara Creek and Frog Hollow Creek bridge works recommence: 18th March 2024
  • Arthur Creek bridge works commence: 1st April 2024
  • Tickalara Creek and Frog Hollow Creek bridges completion: mid-June 2024
  • Arthur Creek bridge completion: mid-October 2024.

Traffic Management:

Traffic management measures will be implemented at the Tickalara Creek and Frog Hollow Creek sites as construction progresses over the coming months. Travelers are advised to allocate extra time for their journeys through these areas. A temporary side track will be operational at Arthur Creek starting early April.
