Warning - Crocodile Sighting – LAKE KUNUNURRA

🐊WARNING – CROCODILE SIGHTING – LAKE KUNUNURRA 🐊
A CONFIRMED estuarine (saltwater) crocodile has been reported in the Lake Kununurra crocodile control zone which extends along the Ord River from the Lake Argyle dam wall to the diversion dam at Lake Kununurra.
A crocodile 1.5m - 2m was sighted approximately 600m upstream of the entrance to Lilly Creek lagoon on Saturday 23 March 2024.
Parks and Wildlife Service staff and rangers maintain a trapping program on Lake Kununurra crocodile control zone with six crocodile traps deployed in the area.
People are urged to be cautious and stay well away from the water’s edge.
