The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley is holding its Ordinary Council Meeting tomorrow, 24 March 2020 at 5:00pm at the Kununurra Council Chambers.

We understand some members of the community would like to attend this meeting. So that we continue to abide by social distancing measures, please note the following measures have been put in place for the Meeting:
•The Kununurra Shire Administration Building Car Park will be closed off to cars.
•A TV Screen will be placed outside the Shire Administration Building and linked live to the Council Meeting for you to view.
•Those wanting to attend the meeting will not be permitted to enter the Council Chambers and must watch the Council meeting via the TV outside in the car park.
•An audio system will be in place so you can hear Council discussions.
•Public Question Time forms will be available for those attending in person to complete and hand to a Shire Officer. The Officer will then enter Chambers and provide your Question to the Shire President to read aloud during the meeting.
•If you would like to ask Council questions but don't want to come to the meeting in person, you can email questions to mail@swek.wa.gov.au by 8pm today, 23 March 2020.

•A maximum of three questions per person are permitted.
•Please kindly abide by social distancing measures at all times. There will be markers on the ground to ensure those attending are standing an adequate distance apart from each other.
•Those who do not obey social distancing will be asked to leave the premises.
The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley thanks you for your understanding and cooperation.

As a local government, the Shire is responsible for taking precautionary measures to minimise risks to health at public events and facilities in the face of this pandemic and we will continue to take the advice of State and Federal Agencies when making decisions which affect the community.
