Contact Register reintroduced to keep WA Safe

The McGowan Government has recently reintroduced a mandatory contact register as an extra precaution to minimise the risk of a COVID-19 community outbreak. Businesses and premises will be required to provide a contact register of patrons. The State Government has also provided a free ‘SafeWA’ app to ensure a more convenient sign-in for businesses and individuals.

The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley wishes to advise that the mandatory contact register will begin for all its facilities from Monday 30 November 2020, including:

  • Kununurra Leisure Centre
  • Wyndham Swimming Pool
  • Ted Birch Memorial Youth and Recreation Centre
  • Wyndham Office/Library
  • Kununurra School and Community Library
  • Peter Reid Memorial Hall
  • Kununurra Office – Meeting Rooms/ Council Chambers

For an effortless sign-in, the Shire recommends patrons download the ‘SafeWA’ app. A QR code will be on display at all of the above venues. Alternatively, a sign-in sheet will be provided before entry. Records will be kept for 28 days and not used for any other purposes.

The Shire wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused. The safety and wellbeing of our community is pivotal during these uncertain times.
