The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley would like to advise the public that in preparation for the Splash Pad Project, demolition of the Kununurra Civic Centre (also known as the Old Shire Offices) is due to commence next week.
Temporary fencing and signage will be erected around the site during the Works, which will run from 12 January 2021 until mid to late February 2021. The Works involve a number of high-risk activities and the Shire requests the public to be vigilant and comply with all signage and Traffic Management.
Heavy vehicles will be exiting the site laden with demolition waste destined for Kununurra Landfill site. The route they will follow will be Coolibah Drive, Leichardt Street, Weaber Plain Road and then on to Victoria Highway.
