The Shire has received requests seeking changes to the categorisation of several places in Wyndham and removal of one place from the register in Kununurra all of which are listed in the Heritage List and Local Heritage Survey.
The requested modifications and proposed removal are:
- WT16 – Former Wyndham Hotel
Lot 3 on DP43166, Lot 4 on DP62465 and Lot 400 on DP223234, 38 O’Donnell Street, Wyndham
Requested modification from Category 2 to Category 4.
- WT 12 – Former Wyndham Port Hospital
Lot 1767 on DP192452 12-28 O’Donnell Street, Wyndham
Requested modification from Category 2 to Category 3.
- WT15 – Site Connor, Doherty and Durack (CD&D) Stores and Truscott Shed
Lots 395 and 396 on DP223234, 34 O’Donnell Street, Wyndham
Requested modification from Category 2 to Category 3.
- 6 – Former PWD Mess Hall and Site of Single Men’s Quarters
Lot 100 on DP67850, 47 Coolibah Drive, Kununurra
Requested removal from Heritage List and Local Heritage Survey
The adopted Local Heritage Survey and Heritage List, which provides information on the above places, is available for viewing on the Shire’s website at www.swek.wa.gov.au
