State Government provides funding for Clarrie Cassidy Oval in Wyndham.

The State Government announced a $1.75 million contribution to Kimberley Aboriginal communities for Sport and Recreation projects. Sport and Recreation Minister Mick Murray made the announcement at the town of Fitzroy Crossing.
The funding is provided under the Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund (CSRFF) administered by the Department of Local Government and Cultural Industries.
The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley will receive $591,783 to upgrade change rooms and lighting at Clarrie Cassidy Oval in Wyndham.
Shire President, David Menzel, said that the funding to the Wyndham facilities would be beneficial to the community.
“We are grateful for the funding provided by the State Government for Clarrie Cassidy Oval,” said Menzel
“Upgrading the Wyndham Oval facilities will help support and build the capacity of community groups and clubs as well as promote the benefits of a healthy, vibrant lifestyle.
It is fantastic to see a positive outcome for the many volunteers who continue to work hard for the Wyndham community”.
