The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley would like to advise that there are inspections to flood prone streets, currently taking place. Under the Local Government Act 1995 Section 5.42, the Shire will temporarily close any road deemed unsafe for vehicles.
The Northern Territory Government have advised that the Victoria Highway is temporarily closed due to flooding, between the Western Australian border and Timber Creek.
Please adhere to any changed road signage or detours, for your safety.
The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley have been advised by the Bureau of Meteorology who have issued a weather warning. The East Kimberley can expect damaging winds and heavy rainfall over the coming days.
