The Shire have recently installed a toilet at the Kununurra Cemetery for all visitor’s to utilise. The system provides waterless waste management with a split-system, where liquids and solids are separated inside the unit. Then, a near constant current of air evaporates liquids and dehydrates solid matter. Airflow is aided by a wind driven ventilator on top of a chimney. The system requires no power to function, and solar lighting has been installed.
