The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley would like to advise that the Wyndham Swimming Pool will be closed until further notice. Contractors have been onsite investigating a leak within the supply line to the 25m pool. Works have included extensive earthworks to locate the damaged pipes as well as draining 50% of the 25m pool.
The Shire anticipated that the issue would have been rectified and the pool reopened by Thursday 25 July, however, this will not be the case. Contractors will remain onsite for the rest of the week. Once the issue has been resolved the Wyndham Pool Coordinator will begin the procedure to refill the pool and ensure that water chemistry meets WA Health regulations, before the pool can be reopened.
Shire staff and contractors are working hard to resolve the leak. More information will be provided on Facebook in relation to the reopening of the facility as work progresses.
