Wyndham Swimming Pool Reopen

The Shire is excited to announce that the Wyndham Swimming Pool is now open following it's recent closure. The pool was forced to close in May due to significant fire damage to the pool grate system, tiles and liner.  The damages to date have cost in excess of $35K for the Shire to repair.

During the two month closure Shire staff and contractors have been busy carrying out repairs and general maintenance to the facility.  This  included painting the exterior of the office and change facilities, repair minor tile damage to the toddler and 25m pools, maintenance work on the children’s play equipment ensuring that it now meets Australian Safety Standards as well as assisting the pool contractor to carry out vandalism repairs to the 25m pool.

The Shire received confirmation on Monday that the water chemistry results were passed by WA Health and have reopened the pool as per normal opening times on Wednesday 27 June. For further information about pool opening times please contact Trevor Buck, Wyndham Pool Coordinator on 91611293.
