Wyndham Radar Update
Good news for the East Kimberley! BOM is progressing works on Wyndham’s replacement weather radar.
The new radar is currently being prepared for transport to WA, with installation expected to begin in late September. Radar images are anticipated to be available in October, following testing and commissioning.

Temporary closures on Hugo Astla Drive will be required to allow heavy vehicles to transport equipment and components to and from the radar site at the top of the Bastion/Five Rivers Lookout.
Current closure dates:
- Saturday 19 September
- Monday 21 September
- Saturday 26 September
The road will remain open when truck movements are not required.
