On Friday 31 May the Minister for Fisheries Dave Kelly, Jeff Cooper from North West Regional Tafe, Shire President David Menzel and CEO Carl Askew joined Dr. Andrew Roland of Recfishwest and Lake Kununurra Barra Restocking Group to further release barramundi fingerlings into Lake Kununurra.
The Shire has supported this program through the Community Quick Grants Scheme.
With more than 650,000 barramundi having been released over the past six years, a vision to create a world class recreational fishery is in sight.
The Shire would like to congratulate everyone involved and hope that the program is successful over the coming years.
