The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley is pleased to announce a discount on one-year registration for pets from now until 31 October 2020.
The Shire is encouraging pet owners to take advantage of this 50% discount period. Under the Dog Act 1976 and Cat Act 2011, it is a legal requirement to register pets over the age of three months with their local Shire.
Over the past six months, the Shire Rangers have picked up a total of 111 wandering dogs, of which 74 were unregistered. The Shire hopes that by providing this discount, it will encourage more owners to register their pets.
The discount only applies to one-year pet registration and does not apply to those who already receive a 50% discount, such as pension holders. For more information, please contact the Shire on 08 9168 4100.
