Notice is given in accordance with section 58(3) of the Land Administration Act 1997 that the Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley is proposing to permanently close a portion of Moonamang Road, Kununurra.
The purpose of the road closure is to close a portion of the road reserve that is no longer required following the realignment of Moonamang Road to the Northern Territory border.
The partial closure area has an area of 7.074ha, and plans showing the location of Moonamang Road and partial closure area, are available for inspection at the Shire Offices at 20 Coolibah Drive Kununurra, and Koolama Street Wyndham, Kununurra Community and School Library or below:

Submissions on the proposed road closure will be received until Friday 22 July 2022.
Submissions should be marked ‘Moonamang Road – Partial Closure’ and addressed to Vernon Lawrence, CEO, Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley, PO Box 614, Kununurra WA 6743 or emailed to mail@swek.wa.gov.au clearly stating ‘Moonamang Road – Partial Closure’ in the subject field.
