The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley is anticipating the seasonal temporary closure of Kalumburu Rd and Port Warrender Rd.
The Shire is aware that there are some Kununurra and Wyndham based businesses working in the Kalumburu area. The Shire would like to take this opportunity to request that businesses consider the pending road closures, and the possible implications to their staff, vehicles and equipment.
Businesses can apply for a Closed Road Usage Permit.
However, this does not guarantee approval. Applications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis taking into account the necessity of travel, weather conditions, vehicle type etc. in order to minimise the risk to people and/or damage to the road.
